Okay... finally got it set-up!
125 coming... but not until after x-mas >.< So I have some time.
atm I have an Oscar, 3 fire eels, needlenose tetra, 2 Senegal Bichirs, Tire Track eel, and royal pleco. What do I keep with what?
BTW the tank is going on a double stand in the basement and I plan on getting another 125 for the bottom. Anyone else thinking 125's on double stand bad idea? apparently they do work.. but i'm very leery about this.. should I just build 2 stands for them instead w/ the money i'de spend on buying the double stand?
And in the long run I have a plan for a indoor pond to house the fire eels (attempt to breed them)
So...
The Oscar is pure white still at like 10"? Growing quick! I plan on putting him in the top 125 w/ black gravel, florescent green plants. really make him Pop! I'ma girl.. we like shiny pretty... What do you guys think would go well with him/her ? Color wise I really like the Festa? (sp?) I see a few people have them. are they compatable? Otherwise what else would you guys suggest? I've though maybe an albino cat or Bichir of some sort otherwise, but i've heard horror stories about O's w/ Bichirs. He's abit aggressive? I'm open to pretty much anything 'n everything.
I plan on moving the senegals and the TT to the bottom 125. and getting some more Poly's! atm the TT is less 'n a foot and the sens are pushing 8".
The needlenose is fine in the 40 breeder he's in atm w/ the O and the fire eels.. yes I know.. they need a bigger tank but thats as soon as I can get the 125. long story short I was laid off and can't afford the tank as soon as I had originally planned, and all the money I had saved for the tank needed to go to other things unfortunately. I'm driveing myself insane doing WC's frequent and often.
at 8 tanks atm.. i'm trying to condense and upsize. the final plan is to have
1 20L (feeder breeder tank)
2 20h (planted, growing out my sen's and TT atm. will be home to my peacock trio atm in a 10 gal growing up abit.)
1 37T (2 angel's 1 suncat)
1 40B (atm >.< pita overstocked overstuffed)
2 125's (Room!)
indoor pond (Even more room!)
and if need be 220+ for the TT if he outgrows the 125 he'd be in.
What do you guys think?
and before I get the negative comments which are bound to happen. I do not plan on getting anymore fish until I have both 125's and the Pond in the process at the very least. and I am seriousely thinking of getting rid of the needlenose and the Angels. They just don't interest me. but the tank is a 37T and unsuitable for any of my other fish atm in the 40B. 'cept maybe the pleco? way to narrow for the Oscar. and the needle nose would have way less surface space.
I'm asking for constructive criticism and some ideas on how to arrange my fish for the best compatability in the long-run. So I can have a solid plan going into the winter.
Oh! and I have a 55 in the basement atm i'm cleaning up and plan on putting the O at least in until I can get the 125.
What would you guys do?
Other then sell everything and get Gulper catfish?..
