Here is an update of my "Trimac", i still use the term loosely as i bought him from my lfs and i have no knowledge of where my store had gotten them, he said he had a very solid trimac breeder a few years back but i have no idea if these came from a connected source. Anyways, the whole time ive had this fish ive thought it to be a male, although now looking at "him" fully colored up, "he" looks more like a girl. anyway, just thought id get some opinions, he or she, sure is pretty! these are just a few pics i took about twenty minuets ago, and i have many more so if youd like to see some without flash, just ask! thanks all.

I almost hate to wade into this....but, it looks just like my Trimac. And I don't see any black in the dorsal, either. So I'm gonna say male Trimac.

How big is it? How long you had it? How old is it if you had to guess.

A good clear shot of the dorsal fin standing up--you have one like that?

What size tank? Tank mates? How mean is he?

if i had to guess id say 5.5-6 inches max? i got him in mid september at about 1" with a group of six others because i had originally wanted to breed but threw that out the window one his aggression kicked in. To answer that question- aggression is great, very interactive, chases my finger, bites at the glass, the whole 9 yards. as of right now he is in a 75 gallon with one rd/midas whatever it is and its 1.5" or so, just a little buddy for him. this 75 gallon is not his final home as this summer ill be looking for a 125... ill look through photos to look for one of the fin, if not ill go take one now!:D

Looks like a female but hard to tell. Only way to be sure is when it's with a male it turns black or on its Own dorsal fin will turn black Here a pic of mine male. 11 inch very aggressive glass Banger. image.jpeg
