Astronotus crassipinnis?

Got this guy about a year ago. Recently had a friend over who said he may be an astronotus crassipinnis. Whatcha think experts? I have a poor pic, will try to get better but he is not very cooperative.

looks just like a wild type regular oscar to me,the crassipinnis i have seen have been a more olive overall colouration but thay may have been stressed

A well taken care of oscar can be a very pretty fish. Yours is a great example.

thanks, i like it even though it brutally murders any fish put in his tank with him, lol. He just likes to fly solo i guess.
