I'm looking for a new tank.

I'm kicking around the idea of a large shallow planted tank(riparium). acrylic rimless 60x32x14 high, with many small community fish.

OR a larger 150g 60x24x24 glass tank- inhabitants unknown. tank is a sca 150g reef ready

I'm leaning toward the riparium idea BUT I am worried about humidity and evaporation with a 60x30 wide open surface area. Any insights?

You're in Arizona...Isn't your average humidity like...3% On a humid day? Be lots of evaporation but wouldn't think humidity would be a big concern.

My vote goes to the 60x24x24. Much more versatile size, more effective display imo. However if youre really into this riparium idea then go with that. Its just a more specialized tank design.

SCA makes a nice tank too.

Hello fellow Arizonan , I'd go with the riparian idea, as for humidity I doubt it will do much humidity wise, especially here
