I have a 4-5 inch AT Dat with my 5-6 inch P-Bass and 15+ Silver Arowana. The AT Dat is showing lots of aggresion to my P-Bass. He doesnt let the P-Bass leave the corner of the tank. He also constantly swims under my silver arowana as if using the arowana for cover. My wife says he picks on the P-Bass then runs to his big body gaurd. Is it normal for a datnoid to show this kind of aggression towards other species?

Dont know tbh what sort of aggression its using but maybe someone else might be able to answer it :D

It will rush towards the Pbass and suddenly stop right in front of it. If the Pbass is looking the other way it may even try to bite at its tail. It rushes the Pbass so often until the Pbass just stays in one of the top corners of the tank. :screwy:

what kind of pbass. i imagine when the pbass get bigger they wont allow thha crap anymore. My pbass bite back whenn my dat goes after them. Unless he is causing them to not get any food or is injuring the bass i wouldnt worry about it

I had a problem with my AT in my NTT community tank. Lil bastard was territorial and would do the same thing that yours does to the ntt's that were of the same size. had to move him to a 10g tank.

AT's & NGT are generally the most aggressive tigers. So this is normal behaviour. I wouldnt worry unless there is real pysical damage..not just split fins.
Your P-Bass will almost certainly outgrow the ATand will remain larger than the AT.
In 6 months, your AT might be looking for the hiding space...
