AT dat q's?????

ive seen mixed info on these fish with regards to water conditions - brackish or freshwater???

id like to add some to my small dat pack (IT and NTT)

can anyone clarify please?

Although it can survive long-term in hard, alkaline freshwater, it is primarily a brackish species ideally requiring the addition of marine salt to its water. Aim for a specific gravity of around 1.005.

thanks yh_loh - im not interested in keeping a brackish setup as i have other fish in with my dats so maybe this fish is not for me

You can keep AT's in freshwater, they do prefer to have some salt in the water but that's really up to you. They can get some skin conditions when they are kept in freshwater but a quick salt dip will usually clear that up.
