was womdering how tolerant AT Datnoids are to fresh water. If anyone has any experience with them let me know. Was looking to purchase a couple for my 220 to keep my IT's and NTT's company. Any info would be helpful .... thanks

I have a 6 inch and 8 inch appx. in my 300 fresh, I do keep a little bit of aquarium salt in the tank but I would still call it fresh, not at all brackish. I keep them with 2 rays a flagtail and a florida gar. The 6 inch is 100% stable and the 8 is about 95-99% stable

Talk about a waste of post space. How do you think the thread starter found this forum?.....Anyhow,there are some who will argue all day long that AT are found in brackish waters and therefore need to be kept in it for longterm health. There is a store near me that has a nice big planted display tank which houses a big AT.This dat has lived there for quite a few years now.
