We decided to set up a little 300 gallon half-cylinder in our foyer. Here's the tank yesterday:

Nixed that idea after seeing giant green morays during our cruise. Now, she wants a pair of mbu puffers. So, the angels are for flash for visitors in the 'small' 300 and she wants one of the 450s to house a pair of mbus.

I think you need to get some metal halides and turn that into a planted tank.

The rust-colored plants are made by the company that furnishes the artificial reefs for Disney. I got an assortment of 10 foot streamer plants to use in some of my taller tanks. Especially where fry or juvies are housed. Plus, the wife likes the effect. So, if she's happy...
