At what size do cichlids begin to show teeth?

Specifically Istlanum's? But I'm curious to see at what size did you start to notice your fishes teeth.

My male Umbee just started growing his at almost 6". My male Salvini grew them at the same size.

It all depends on the fish. Some do very small and others teeth are never visible as far as islatnum I have never owned one so that's where my advice ends

my jd at about 5"-6" my salvini at like 4"
not a cichlid but my rbps at about 2"

Mine is about 3.5'' right now, Im assuming around 5'' he should show. Atleast I am hoping.

If you want cichlids with the biggest teeth then dovii , jags and umbees are it.

yeah my male jag has massive teeth for a cichlid, he dont even have to open his mouth for you to see them lol!

1 of my jags and an umbee got teeth around 3". thats the smallest i've noticed in my fish
