Agreed, prawns do give fish nice colouring... though in general i find any live food (fish, crickets, geckos etc) give predatory fish nice colouring.

I have arapaima that was completely black (colorless) when i got it, it is starting to "colour" recently because i feed it alot of live food (including prawns). Note that sometimes arapaimas can have coloring while very small. My neighbor also tries to feed fish to his arapaimas after noticing colour starting to dull after feeding it pellets (... dog pellets of all things!)

My RTCs are also colored (check my other post) on the fins and tail though not so much, because i switched to catfish pellets due to large intake requirement.

sinkers?????..... I hope you mean sinking pellets cause if you actually mean sinkers... (although I wouldn't put it past an RTC to eat them....) Could make watching him swim to the surface then sink like a brick fun :ROFL

yes

i put them in for my other cats and he eats them
