I have been told that I most likely have a pair of Jaguar cichlids at 6" and 4". At what size do they become sexually mature? First pic is my 6" 'male' and second pic is my 4" 'female'. Is that right? Thanks!

They should be starting any time now, ~4 inch is sexual maturity level (given that those are 1 male and 1 female) but it looks to me that they're both female (but i'm far from an expert)

I think your female might need to be alittle bigger, I have bread jags in the past and all my females were atleast 6 inches!!! Do some extra water changes and feed her some live gold fish, rosies, leaches and crayfish... She will be 6 inches in a month or 2...But most important is water changes!!!
i had a pair that started giveing me babys when the female was around 2 inchs maybe 2 and a half and male was like 3 and a a half. The first pic is male and i say second is female. If the second was a stressed male it would be more darkened all over
