The two male EBJD that I bought back on 7/4 from a fellow MFK are now nearing 5-6 inches. In the past month they've really thickened and they seem to be very healthy. I've been trying to track down some female BGJD and I've found someone who will sell me some. It's the first time I've tried to spawn fish and I'd just like a few pointers. What is the earliest size of both male and female fish to start spawning and is that too early of a size to safely breed them?
At what size would you recommend breeding EBJD with BGJD?

Sorry with the over-estimation in size. The first male is about 4 inches without tail and the second male is 3 1/2 inches without tail.
