I have a 180 6x2x2 I have most likely a baby fatf and baby vatf I plan on keeping these guys for a long time I had a gatf for about 8 months then got these little dudes I want to make sure that all of there needs are fully satisfied so I want to know how much flow I should have in my 180 and what ph I should have it at and what parameters I should keep it at and anything else that will make these little dudes grow up nice colorful and most of all healthy I want to make a grow up thread for this also thank you -jake

id have close to 9000gph in your 180 for best care of these guys. no decorations, black painted back and sides, or check out chicxulubs sticky on atf. itll tell u exactly what u need to know. also i wouldnt keep 2 atf ive found problems when 2 of the same type r together. the one will always have massive scratches. they r very hardy so itll heal but it just sucks to see your most expensive fish with a big bleeding gash in its side.

I look forward to pics, Jake.

Taylor's right, you'll need dither fish. If you don't have them, one of your tigers will end up killing the other. I've always liked having a trio of tinfoil barbs wiht my baby tigers.

that much of a size difference may intimidate your atf. i kept 3-4" barbs with my 3 gatf and their sizes were 6", 8" and 10". i have a feeling your dithers may not let your atf have any chance of getting food. yes i had about 4 barbs slaughtered and a few maimed but its a lot cheaper then another atf gettin killed.

ok well as long as they are eating and not getting pushed aside. you got the atf at a good size to train them easy. my biggest took about a month to take his first pellet. the only other thing i notice is that theres no powerheads in the tank. unless i just cant see them. these are extremely necessary with atf. dont cheap out on them either. i have 2 hydor 3200gph and 2 1400s for when my 150 is done. they rnt cheap but i notice a huge difference from the no name brand ones.
