Today i walked in my fish room and saw my barramundi and ATf going at it (not the fun stuff either)...anyways they were chasing each other in circles and the atf took a few bites out of the barras tail and when the barramundi gave up and took off the atf kept chasing it, they are both about 5 inches...the atf has also been chasing some of my 3-4 inch orinos. Has anyone heard of their atf being this aggressive? Should i be worried cuz i cant imagine how its going to be at 10-12 inches?

ATF = african tiger fish. with teeth like that, i dont see how they wouldnt be agressive. i dont kno much about them tho, but it seems as he is pretty agressive. hopefully he calms down but if he doesn't, then your in for some trouble in the future.

yea he wasnt this aggressive before but i guess he just got tired of getting picked on lol.. Man i sure do hope he doesnt snap and go on a killing spree....

my atf was really aggressive and ended up taking out alot of my fish so you should deff watch out.. Esp now that there is aggression between the two, its not gonna get any better and might get worse

yea thats why im letting go of the barramundi...i still want to keep it but id rather have my atf...:(

i had an 8" ATF several months ago... he didn't get a chance on any of my datnoids nor bichir... the datnoids are the king of the tank.. the ATF was being chased down by my datnoids.

If you're tank is not big enough for the other fish to hide I would say you got a problem... and it will get worst. ATF's are aggressive fish.. and as you can see.. they got sharp teeth with them.. unlike other fish.. it's your decision. But be wise and smart.. you don't want the other fish to end up being killed.;)
