ATF and African PIke

I have both in separate tanks right now but i was wondering if i could mix them later on when they are about the same size. Right now the atf is about 4 inches and the AP is about 6 inches. I was thinking of putting them together later on when they are like 8 inches. What do u guys think. I think they would look awsome together but i dont want one or the other to get killed. Let me get your guys' opinions. :)
 
dont try it .... odoe and ATF are two complete opposites....the odoe will kill your ATF
 
well i guess it depends. i had them together nd bot where the same size, they where fine, plus another big thing i think that helped them from being to agressive is the fact that they where with a ton of bala sharks tehe same size so they kinda felt they where in a school. just like when u hear keeping atf at a small number sometimes they get aggessive but if u get a good size school going there not. so i say u can put them together if there about same size and depends on what else is in the tank. oh ya i used bala sharks bc i didnt have the money for a big school of atf so i got bala sharks bc there shiny to just like the atf and iy works the same, hope this helps
 
i know sombody here did it sucessfully, they had picks, dont remember who tho
 
I've heard too many stories where the Odoe had killed the ATF.

Even in a 900g tank, my Odoe killed a couple of my ATFs. I wouldn't chance it again, EVER!

Not a good idea I've tried it a couple of times in a 220 gal. and the pikes are to aggressive. I even tried starting with the atf a lot bigger but after a short time the pike grew and started abusing the ATF.
