I had to make a spontaneous pick up of this little guy. He is about 3-4 inches but thin. He would not survive any of my main tanks, but the person getting rid of him was forced to move in such a rush he would have ended up giving him to someone who planned on housing it in a 10 gallon with no plan for upgrade. Normally I would have put him in my spare 20 to grow out but that is being used by my brother in law for two red eared sliders he found in a property that someone abandoned (the whole family has a thing for special needs and abandoned pets...I'll show a pic of my one-eyed ray when he is fattened up and less stress). Right now the ATF is in an xl breeder that is 12x6 with my normal tank water pumped in and a bubbler for extra oxygen and water movement. Please don't talk about the cramped space because I know this is not ideal but once he puts on another 2 inches and fills out he can fit in my show tank with no issues. Judging by the picture please let me know what I can do to make this situation better. I know I am extremely lucky to get such a great fish and I want to give it the best long term situation I can. For feeding I plan on sticking with rosies until he gets to a good size. I really appreciate any productive feedback I can get. I have gotten great advice in the past and am hoping for the same. Let me know if additional pics would help. Thank you in advance and any advice is truly appreciated
