Ah man, My ATF (vit) died today. I took down his tank for cleaning and re-used the water he was originaly in,in his 45 gallon holding tank so there is no water problem and everybody else survived. I think he died of shock. What a shame he was about 10''. But my 15'' Rhom was happy.

no it's impossible, I syphoned the original tank water into my holding tank which was super clean as usual and had the atf in there within 5 min's and I also have a heater in the holding tank set to maintain the temp of the original water so there will be no fluctuations. It's a shame, but he had to go eventually as I'm reading more and more about H.Armatus and ATF's don't mix well at all and I have the Armatus too and he is a definate keeper.

how did you place him in the tank?
did you pour him in or wrestle him with a net to get him out of the holding tank and then drop in the original tank?

I used a net when the tank was 1/2 empty and caught him easily and just plopped him into the temp tank.
