Atf Id please

Just got this bad boy yesterday as a gatf, can you guys confirm this?

The bottom of the caudal fin is rounded, is this due to previous damage or is this just undeveloped? Its about 4 to 5" total length.

Typically not no. Viewing the many images on the web they do seem to vary but most are pointed.

I couldn't find any similar looking gatf on the web either, made me think it was another fish.

The rounded fin isn't unusual on very small fish. Often its from ammonia burns from shipping. With clean water he'll heal up fine.

It did have ammonia burns just before its caudal fins so you're most likely right, hoping the pointed tips will grow back though

Clean water and time and you'll be fine. I had a brevis completely lose the lower half of the caudal to a bite and it grew back perfectly.
