This pic was ID by you as a Tanzie based on 3 scales count from LL to pelvic fin insert.
I had cropped the pic and put some pointers inside.
Orange lines represent the borders of LL and pelvic fin insert.
Question:
Do we start counting the scale that is ON the LL (marked green) or the scale below it (marked blue)?
Just need to clear up any confusions as there is always a scale that covered the middle of the LL in all ATFs I have seen.
Perhaps this can be included into the sticky for future reference. In these times, we just cannot take the sellers' words for an accurate ID - thanks to the excellent work done (ATFs, dorados etc) any hobbyist can refer to these stickies and academically/scientifically ID their fishes.
