ATF PETITION--PLEASE SIGN!

This is a petition to the mods of MFK requesting that they create a new forum section dedicated solely to discussion of all topics related to African Tiger Fishes.

I think these fishes and their popularity make this request reasonable. Because the information on ATFs is slight, scarce and scattered, a forum section would help to consolidate all known scientific and fishkeeping information and allow for better growth in the fishkeeping information and scientific knowledge of these fishes. Further, such a forum would probably be one of the world's most complete databases on ATFs, if not the first, and this would attract to the forum hobbyists and perhaps even scientists who could also contribute.

I ask that all those who want to see an ATF forum section here at MFK sign this thread and by so doing show support.

P.S. I do not believe a sub-forum section would be showing enough respect for this extremely important fish nor would it show enough respect to the hobbyists who collect these fishes.

Thanks. You both just trashed my thread instead of giving it a chance. I spent quite some time on creating this petition. Thanks Ewurm for leading the sheep to trash my thread. And the reasoning that there is "not enough traffic" is pretty lame one given the idea that this fish needs a database to further progress in the keeping of these fishes and perhaps to even attract a scientist who could do some work on these fishes. So not enough traffic means that the sole purpose of this site is chit chat and organization and progress is not nearly as important? That is what you are saying, great logic bro.

I vote NO!, There are enough sub-forums already, actually to many.
By constantly dividing the forums into smaller special interest groups we become a mass of specialized groups with less interaction between members, it also requires more mods and lessens the enjoyment of the mods working the forums.
As for the ATF being an important fish requiring respect..., not many members keep them, let alone keep them well.
