ATF prob

hay everyone, sometimes i wake up in the morning and my atf has like slices or cut on him. then it heals up and a week later another. this tome is fin was a little torn. i wa sthinking maybe he was sleeping in the cave and got scared and scraped it. must be another fish. i have no idea. all day long i dont see no fish messing with him. the only fish i have that are active at night are my channel cats. anyone have a clue. thanks

it might be ur cats . i dont have first hand experience but a lot of ppl told me that catfishes are aggresive and will try to eat anything possible

the cats are smae size. but the marks on him are like slices, it dosent look like it would be from the cats. im thinking itscraching him self or something, and now the bottom of his fin is flaking off.

ATFs wont go into a cave to sleep like a cichlid would. I think ATFs have to keep moving around just to get oxygen. If anything, something attcked your ATF or your ATF flipped out and ran into something. Hope it does fine though.

I have a Disticodus lussoso and he freaks out sometimes, with a resultant scratch or torn fin. Does your aft have a tendancy to get excited and dart around the tank?

just yesterday i moved my atf from my 60 to my 100 and now its really really messed up with the scratches and all the scales on his top came off. so im guessin that its from ramming in to the walls and from my net?cuz i had a hard time catching him. maybe ur problem is just runnign into ur decors?
