Any ideas what to add to the mix? I have 6 frontosa that I plan on moving out soon. Right now there’s two pink tail chalceus, 4 silver dollars. I want to add peacock bass when these guys all give over 10” and my two payara. Only reason I’m waiting is because those fish fast. The Goliath is 10” and the vittatus is abt 7”. All my tigers are eating salmon and abt every 3 weeks I’ll give them some live treat because I love to see them in action ?

More than likely you will to get rid of one of the atfs. They will start fighting over time. Also a big pbass or armatus will also end up going after the atf if their growth rates can not keep up with each other. I'm talking if the payara is armatus...tats and scombs will be fine till the atfs get older. I ended up getting rid of all my pbass for the same reason and my armatus and goliath have been separated into individual tanks. Btw it's not a question of tank size like some people may suggest. The war between the vatf and my goliath started in my 600 with only 6 geos and a few plecos as tankmates.

Yea they go after each other on and off. Never really got any bigger then these so I figured if I can manage to get 14+ I make a chose then. Yea I’m planning to get my peacock small and my armatus as well.

Don’t have any ATFs but any threads I’ve read with people who do basically say bottom dwellers are the only viable long term options once they get large. All other fish pretty much become food, something to take their aggression on, or spook them head first into the wall which is how most end up dying.
