ATF's fighting! Is this normal or do I have a problem?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
ATF are kept either single species or in a school. You'll need at least 5 pcs and even this might be low. 2 is not going to work out, divide the tank until you can figure something out.

Yeah its what they do ... more can help, and you could get lucky with 2, but most likely the 1 will be a punching bag, getting eye injuries and eventually will most likely be killed

Ah that sucks, I've already put the aggressive 1 in a floating holding net/cage I guess I will have to sell it :( I would struggle to even find 5 in 1 go, I got a friend that might be able to order me that many but at £100 a pop even at mates rates they cost me £85 a fish! It's my fault I should of researched it better I just see people keeping more than 1 and stupidly thought they got on lol thanks for the help

I had a taft and faft together a while ago. It did not end well

From what I've heard it may depend on specie to determine how bad it is. For instance you add a vatf to a gatf tank.about the same size vatf will go out of its way to bully the gatf, seeing as in the wild the vatf is a prey item of the gatf. I think it would work out best with the same specie, maybe add some odoes? To be targets for the bigger bully to mess with

I have 2 different groups of 3 Tigers each and it seems to work..... A group of Vatf and of Tatf.

Can you get another? I'd try to get another then introduce all 3 in a different tank to erase the established one's home field advantage.....

I will see if I can find 1, I will update with what happens if I do
