I know 1 piece of decoration doesn't count as a theme but that 1 piece has inspired me...lol...not really...my girlfriend made me keep it when I parted out my freshwater tank since she picked it out at the store. So now I want to just go with it and see what can come of it. I know the black garbage bag in the back is ghetto but I just wanted to test a black background, I'm pretty sure I'm going to stick with black. And the stand and canopy aren't finished yet. The stand and canopy finishing are my current project then I am building the sump. And so on. What size do you guys think, 20g or 30g sump? All of the pre-made sump/wet dry filters are 20g for 90 gallon tanks but I want to know what others are using.
Anyway any suggestions or comments are welcome

*EDIT*
I will probably lower the level of the scrubbies/bio balls for a bit of airation of the water

in the sump I would get a ASM sump protein skimmer in there for even better filtration of the tank.

I would suggest the input went through a filter sock and get rid of the other mechanical area. make the bio are larger and after that. that would leave a nice area for the skimmer heater pumps and what not. So it would look like a larger version of Cam shaft ram rods sump he built.

I like the atlantis theme. If you got some more smaller pieces of live rack and stacked them around and on the decoration I think it would look a little better.

if you put corals in it'd look even better... but you can just stick with FOWLR...

lol i know the castles rock sticks out so much...in the tank it doesnt look to bad but in the picture i really dont like it
I'm debating right now, do I want coral, predator, or freshwater again...its tough...I found a good deal on a 150 so I think I might grab it.

Well it's looking good so far, and you are taking on some great DIY projects, so good luck with that, and make sure to keep us posted as you go. I like the "Atlantis" idea, so hopefully you'll be able to add more onto that soon so we can see the theme really take shape.
