Sad situation and it's only beginning.

The board of directors and the CEO, CFO, and COO of BP should be brought to the Gulf and tossed into the ocean for a few hours and then made to live with locals for a couple of weeks.

I was thinkin the same thing.. They have no clue and honestly probaly don't care too much about the locals down there

yep, thats gotta be just and only BP's fault :nilly:

obviously no one will know the real reasons, but this was his way of life, and only way of life. Fishing was the only thing he knew his whole life, and he knew that fishing would not appear in his area again for the rest of his life

One does not kill themself for one reason. He did not kill himself just because of the oil. If he did then im not sad about that. The only part im sad about is the fact that he was old enough to probly reproduce.

This man has obviously had a long past history of depression and mental diesese. this is just what finally pushed him over the edge. Wether his friends saw it or not it was there. like 30 percent(not sure exact percent) of suicidal people never show outward symptoms.

If u would like to discuss this farther please do.

He was only 55, there is no guarantee that fishing would not appear in the area again during his lifetime. The Ixtoc I oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico spewed for 10 months releasing over 3.3 million barrels. Texas coast wildlife took it pretty hard, but within a few years the wildlife population had bounced back. Mother Nature is resilient, she can come back pretty quickly even when we mess it up royally.

There was probably more than the oil spill involved in him deciding to take his own life, we will never know the whole story.

im assuming he didnt want to discuss this farther with me.......

and thanks dys, there def was more to this than the oil
