Attacked BGK!? Broken Tail??? Please help!!

Guys I found my BGK like THIS today:

Ive had him since july 05' with no problems, he's in a 75g with mono's and an archer, a figure 8 puffer, scat, pleco, angel fish, etc...

i realize hes in a bad mixed tank, but reguardless, hes been fine for almost a year... none the less, i realize being attacked is a possibility and probably what happened here... now he just hangs at the top of the tank, looks to be in pain..

ive put him in a 30g hospital tank with an emporer 400 HOB filter, and also added melafix and cycle in hopes that maybe by isolation and this treatment, he will turn for the better? he wouldnt eat when i held food right in front of his face before moving him either.. so im sure hes hurting...


ANY advice would be helpful. thanks.
 
Doesnt sound good. Melafix does wonders, keep the tank darkend would be my advice with good water changes.
 
keep your pants on. just do what your doing and be patient trying to get to feed. give him a hiding place so feels safe, like a pvc pipe or bamboo pipe or something
 
u absolutely sure that hes dead? they are pretty good at making you think that

What he was getting at is the figure 8 and the scat are both brackish water fish.
It's not about tank mates, it's about the correct water conditions.
