before you view the video, i jus wanna state this. it contains what some people would see as cruel. i bought it with 2 intentions. attempt to see if it works, and if not, cut it up and feed it to them which is what i ended up doing anyway.

basically i bought a fw live talapia from my local sea food market. he survived the ride home, the drip acclimation. but as soon as this bad boy hit the water it was over. i kinda had a feeling, but it was bought for 2 reasons, either live, or be eaten. if this is to much for you, don't watch it. i think the arowana strikings and catfish shakes are awesome. some may disagree

the coolest arowana strike is right at 1:27

I didnt understand how the Tilapia was HURT...I mean the RTC grabbed him but how could it not even swim when let go...RTC's dont have teeth right...??? Cool vid none the less...

rtc do not have teeth, but have powerful jaws. before i got a chance to start taping, the aros went to town on him first =x then he swam off and got grabbed by the rtc and shook up hard. and it jus continued til it was pretty much dead.

hey ethnics nice vid !! btw ur rtc r real hunters.i bought one rtc few months ago bt it seems to b having problems hunting down its food.i tried feeder bt it keep spitting it out after failing to swallow it btw my rtc is around 1/2feet .it used to take fish fillet bt now it doesnt seem to take in anything.any suggestion ? its very skinny ryt nw.

I don't think it was a good idea to take a fish from the market and put it right into the tank. I would have quarantined it...who knows what fish at the store have, but seeing their living conditions, they probably have some sort of disease. Anyway, nice video and nice attempted save.

umm, why would fish at a LOCAL FISH MARKET carry fish with diseases lol. there designed to be eatin by humans.

highly doubtful. i cut it up and they all ate it, no problems yet lol. or ever for that matter, as i feed fish from local markets regularly...

One question....if the fish did happen to have diseases being that we cook our food wouldnt that kill the diseases in RAW FISH...but hey if you do it regularly and they are all healthy the market you go to must carry disease free fish...;)
