Im trying to get a breeding pair of dempseys so at the moment I have 3 in my 55
and boy have they shown me a weird display of behavior
so at first I have what I believe is a female and I add a slightly larger (appears male) to the mix that has strong colors
so she bullies him
next I add another male slightly smaller than the other male
the big male becomes the bully for 2 days
and from there its been the new male doing all the bullying
and now my first male is starting to fight back
both males have colored up quite a bit and appear to be pinkining around the lower gills
breeding behavior or just being territorial?
Edit: forgot to add they are all around 3 inches
