My business was pretty much ruined by my ex. Now she said everything died, I am starting to have my doubts. She said something about taking the fish to petshops. I think she told me everything died so I wouldn't try to get any of my stuff. Who knows maybe all the fish did die. I can't say for sure. I do believe that some of them may have died because she didn't want the hassle so she probably did shut the power off and let everything die.

I am posting this so that anyone who buys Africans from upstate NY let me know. Especially if someone is selling species such as Pundamillia sp Red Flanks, Albino Yellow Labs, F1 Freddies and so on. I know Red Flanks are rare so I would appreciate it if someone hears anything about these being for sale to let me know. I put a substantial amount of time and money into this setup and I would hate to see these fish(if they aren't dead) being sold in poor condition because she knows very little about their care and maintenance.

She won't let me have anything anyway because everything was in her name. Besides I have no place to put 100 tanks right now. I don't even have a place for myself to call home.

I will rebuild. I might have lost my amazing fish but I will not lose my love for the hobby and the benefits of maintaining endangered species.

LOL... Rough is an understatement. The Marine in me wants retribution but the practical side of me says no since jail isn't the way I want to live the rest of my life.

Bad break up?...hmmm...her dad was waiting down the road for me to get home. He sat out front of the house watching to see what I was going to do. Everything was just fine when I walked in. We were talking then I gave her most of my paycheck for the electric bill and she says ok time for you to go. Her dad walks in(he carries a handgun) and calls 911 and tells them there is a physical domestic going on. I hate people that beat women so I was ready to beat him. I was slightly pissed and he wouldn't get close enough to me that I could get him before he pulled his gun so I put my elbow through a 75 gallon tank on my way out the door and sat down waiting for the sherriff.

They called and reported it as a physical domestic so that they didn't have to give me 30 days to get out. Doesn't matter that nothing physical happened just mattered that they reported it that way.
 
Yeah well it isn't all that bad. 2 weeks before that the doctor said he thinks I have a rare form of soft tissue cancer.

I'm 28: Cancer, homeless, lost all my fish, she kept my truck because it was in her name, she kept most of my clothes, I don't think it can get any worse than that. I am impressed that she had the stones to do all of that.

I just look at it as time for a new fresh start and hopefully in a different state. No more red heads for me I think:D
