Attitude like a Bagarius, but easy to find?

Hello all,

I'm looking for a cat with a bad attitude and possibly a set of teeth in the same vein as the Bagarius cats; but with the difference of it's being possible to find. I've been looking for a B. bagarius for quite some time now, but can't seem to find any reliable sources on them. I could probably dig up a B. yarelli if I was to really try, but I don't want a fish that can hit five feet long.

Is there anything else out there that will stay about a foot long, have teeth, and an attitude to match?

The Ompok looks promising, thanks for the lead. I'm gonna do some more homework on one of those. The do look like a Wallago or kinda like a Wels, which are two fish that I really like as well. :)
 
yeah and now that I think of it, I have yet to keep a Wallago! Mainly because I cant find any Wallago fry but only 1 ft + adults. I'm gonna try and keep wyckiodes now, gotta find a tank just for that!

Although to be honest, I have two Yarrelli fry both at 5 inches. They are being held with an RTC of the same size. They usually keep to themselves.
 
Where did you get them? With the lack of B. bagarius, I'm really thinking about getting one. Plus, my wife is in LOVE with RTC's and is trying to get me to get one, so I'm considering taking the plunge.

No pun intended. lol
 
uh dude, I live in Thailand and the semi-utopia of monster fish just happens to be a bus ride from my house, so I dont really know if I can help you there. And plus a lot of stores are starting to sell the GATF, so I might look into getting a tank just for that guy.
