i just wanted to ask a question in regards to your led set-ups. I have my regular lighting set up on a timer but i leave my led's on 24/7. the red ones pretty much illuminate the whole tank and i have 2 blue and 1 green "spot" led's.
does it bother the fish to have them on all the time? are they still getting a day/night light cycle? i never thought of it before because i just assumed that since red is used to view the nocturnal guys, it would be ok.

what do you guys do? do you leave them on or do you turn them off, and why?

thanks for answering what may be a stupid but honest question.:grinno:

ive got my blue's on when my main lights are off. 16 hours of leds and 8 hours of main lights.

I would still turn off the LEDs if you using the regular lights. Why have them on? I just found this sight the other day if you guys want to check it out. Prewired $.99 unwired $.34, all different size light bars.
