Phil, I have come across these 2 "rocks" ..for lack of a better word, in the possesion of my Grandfather.
The first one was given to him by and Native American friend and is known as a spirit stone. It has well rounded sides and has crystals of some form imbedded in strange line directions and also what looks like solid quartz chunks. The pictures are unclear, I will have better ones soon
The second "rock" resembles ore that has been heated, it is dirty but underneath is very shiny almost like obsidian. It has a very solid feel and weighs more than you would think by looking at it. My grandfathers guess is that it is an asteroid possibly.
If you could have a look and give me your best opinion on what you see. I will have clearere pictures soon.
