Anyone happen to have any experience keeping this shrimp? I've never kept a filter feeder before, so I'm not quite sure of the best way to feed one. Should I feed it directly like a coral, or if I just add infusoria to the water will that be enough?

if they dont get enough food in the water masses they start pickin algea from the bottom:)

so dont worry feed them like fish :)

I have only kept one and it got squished when I knocked a rock over on it but I treated it like wood shrimp, flake food and occasional squirts of green water infusoria and brine shrimp, esp, nuapuli. Seemed to work, they still pick at the substrate.

i have one in my 28 gal tank shes a female and i feed her a little of everything worms alge pellets flak etc i have had her in there since july last year with a pleco some mini frogs and bumch of cory and i have to say she is the most gentlie creature i have in both tanks :hypnotize

Mine really liked sinking shrimp pellets (isn't that disturbing) and crab bites. Neither is ver healthy, though. I also fed them live daphnia, baby brine shrimp, live/frozen worms, mosquito larvae, crushed flakes, etc. In order to feed dry foods in enough quantity for then to catch it, it tends to foul the water, so keep up on waterchanges. They do great with snails.
