Auchenoglanis biscutatus

Hey,
I could get a WC A.biscutatus from Nigeria.
This species is supposed to stay under 20in long.
Can anyone confirm the max. size?
The tank is 70.8 in by 31.5in so it would not be suitable for a large common Auchenoglanis.

I think based on Yellowcat's and my experience, A. biscutatus stays around 5" for many years. It is either an excruciatingly slow-growing fish or it is confused with some other species in the genus.

thanks for your reply!
I really would appreciate a 14-16in catfish for that tank.
A smaller one would go into my 80gal or the future 230gal for the upper jaws.
The specimen from Aquarium Glaser are currently only 3 to 4in long so they'd have to go into a smaller tank.

Got them from Wet Spot Tropical Fish in Portland Oregon, they were $45 each plus $50 shipping, in November 2019. They haven't gotten any since. This species is very hard to find, I waited for years to get 'em...

Hey,
I decided to give it a try and ordered one of the A.biscutatus from Glaser.
It will arrive on wednesday.
I really hope they don't confuse it with occidentalis or wittei.

If it grows past 45cm I will have to rehome it into a 10ft tank which belongs to a friend of mine.
