And it went out with a bang! It won of course! LOL The R8 was painted up, commemorating its final race with the names of all the past and present R8 drivers, plus every circuit it's won on.
I hope the diecast model companies are watching, I want this livery in 1/18th!
For those that don't know, the Audi R8 is one of the most successfull race cars in history. With almost 140 starts there wasn't ever a single engine failure! One of the best race cars ever built and I myself am happy that I've been able to see it race in person a number of times! Is it any wonder that Audi owners are so fanatical!?!
Out with the old and in with the new. This is Audi's replacement, the R10. What makes it special, it's a diesel engine, 650bhp and 811ft/lbs of torque! Which just happened to win the 24 hours of LeMans!
