The thing that worries me most about keeping fish in tanks is that even in a big one, theres really nowhere new for the fish to go. Sure you can rearrange the ank or bring in tankmates, but still for the most part theres nothing really interesting going on most of the time. So I was thinking maybe a tv near the tank would work, or even one of those cool sound simulators like i have on my ipod. Imagine playing amazon river and jungle sounds for your oscars and pbass, or whale songs, whatever you can imagine. maybe some classical music, whatever the fish looks to be enjoying.

I wouldn't do it man. I put a tv next to the glass for my fish, and when I got my cable bill, they had racked up $138 in ppv charges, mostly "mature" selections. So that was the end of that.

It might entertain them and it might stress them. Some stress is considered bad and some is considered good. The debate over the future of an overexcited fish has never been settled. Some will tell you to hold a mirror up so your fish can flare and get his testosterone going so he has a stronger immune system or whatever. Others will tell you never to do such a thing because it is stressful. I guess until you can define what your exact fish considers beneficial stress to be, it's a wash.

:ROFL:I heterosexually love you, sir.

Oh, my Bolivian Ram enjoys visual entertainment. By that I mean, he plays with my finger through the glass. My old Senegal used to sit on top of the filter when people were watching TV in my room, but I think it was probably more because of the people.

my murray cod is in my xbox gaming room so he around ppl/ me at least 4 to 5 hours a day he seems to watch the tv every now and again

heavy metal tunes he seems to not like
but for some weird reason he loves techno / remix's with heavy drowning out bass he will swim up and down the tank just watching me and when music stops he will go back and hide ... weird huh
