In the past month... my AUL has been eating a lot less than normal.
He's alittle over 15" now (1 year old). Last month, I moved him from a 60g tank to a 135g tank. He doesn't seem to be as happy in the 135g tank as he was in the 60g tank. He doesn't eat as much. He used to eat a ton of Hikari sinking pellets and chopped shrimp everyday. Now, he just nibbles on the pellets, and eats half as much shrimp.

Water is perfect! 80F, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrates, pH is 7.0. Same exact conditions as in the 60g tank.

What can be wrong? Was he stressed from the move?
Or coincidentally they eat less at this size?
Can't figure out what's wrong!?!?

At least he's still eating that's a good sign. Most likely he's just getting use to the new environment but you might as well check a few things. Has the amount of light changed in the new tank? Tank location is critical, maybe he's getting too much light from a window or something? How about the traffic around the tank? Is the new tank in a different room with possible higher traffic? Also you want to look at the noise level. Is the new tank next to something that could be vibrating more that the older location? Just some stuff to look into? Also I have read about electrical issues causing small electrical charges to leak (if you will) into the tank causing irritation/stress. It sounds plausible? I've seen grounding strips for fish tanks, might want to check that out. Good thing is he's eating and will most likely adapt in no time. Good luck.

While I don't have experience with AUL, I have found that with my SAL he simply does not like change. I switched out the decor in his tank and he stopped eating for a long time. Spooked him once particularly badly and he also stopped eating. I think that that's just how they are. He should pick up again soon when he gets used to his new home.
