I know this should normally be posted in the disease section, but I want to make sure that any experienced Australian lungfish keepers see this.
I returned from vacation a couple days ago and my synodontis decided to eat a section of the slime coat off of one of my newly acquired AULs while I was away. The AUL is still active and is eating great.
I immediately started treating with stress coat, melafix and pimafix. Three days into treatment, it looks like the AUL is recovering, but I am now noticing a small patch of fungus. I just bumped the temp to 85 and plan to add salt and kanaplex to my treatment plan. Does anyone have any other recommendations or experience treating AULs with fungal infections?
I am also doing frequent water changes and have a drip system on the tank. Water is being kept very clean. I feed twice daily. The AUL is about 16".
