This is a picture from the internet but mine looks identical. wish i had a camera

I love mylandi. One of my favorite Malawian fish.

I've heard these guys (Aulonocara Apache) been refered to as Sulphurheads but I've also heard of Otopharynx lithobates being called sulphurheads as well as Zimbawe Rock. Can anyone shed some light on the confusion? Is A. Apache the Sulphurhead and O. lithobates just the Zimbawe Rock just being misnamed?
thanks

What you have is an Aulonocara maylandi. The "Apache" is a trade name or a vendor name. The sulferhead name belongs to the maylandi. The Lithobates are called that incorrectly.

that's what i figured. thanks for that! i'll try and get a picture up asap

Such a beautiful peacock. Did you buy it from LFS or online breeder?

I have one. They are very peaceful, and mine messes with none of the other fish.

How big is he?
