hmm just wondering if i could put them both in the same tank. theyre both around the same size. thanks loads!:nilly:

if they are around the same size you shouldn't have any problems in the short term. however i have heard that arantimaculata need hibernation periods during the winter. Where you should drop the temperature.

hmmm i live in singapore. summer all year round hehe. shouldnt be a problem right? the auranti wouldnt be THAT agressive a shred the peacocks up eh?

i have auranti with a clown loach spotted/florida gar and a ornate bichir. No problems.

Buddy kept a Cichla orinosensis with his C. aurantimaculata before... the orino was actually quite aggressive towards the aurantimaculata... it actually was mean "towards all the fish in the tank. (see video link below). My buddy also kept a C. monoculas in with his aurantic before, a much larger one, and they got along fine.

I think certain peacock bass species tend to be more aggressive than others? (C. orino and azul... being the meaner ones). Which pbass species are you planning to keep with your aurantic? GL! :)
