Aussie update plus new friends!

Hey all,

Here are a few updated pics of my jar "Aussie." He is about ~10-11". Anyways I've been looking for a large bichir and datnoid that aussie won't eat and finally found them at a LFS in Montebello. So I got this thin bar dat for $50 and the ornate bichir for $40. The dat is ~4-5" and the bichir is ~10" and they are in perfect condition. The store is very clean and you can tell they take extra care of their tanks and fish. Think I got ripped off??

They have a nice selection of fresh water fish only. Some damn nice ones tho! Malaysian datnoid for $360 just an example. Was debating, but that's just way over my budget. Have a good selection of jars and silver aro's, and a really nice selection of pleco's. Also have a good selection of monsterfish, not the typical mini fish I see at the other LFS. Just curious but does anyone think their prices are high for the two fish they sold me?

About a foot long, maybe an inch longer. He was holding size around 8" for a month and then had a growth spurt. Didnt change his diet at all either.
