well, i think im ready to get a male for my girl, but its not gonna be like a major breeding project, just something i wanna try,

anyways agama has them for 150 for juvies and 75 for less then perfect,

what one to get?

heres the thing,im the type of person who would get a dog from the pound or a shelter before a breeder and beleive in trying to give animals a better life then what they had prior, anyways less then perfect means usually from agama is with a missing tall or part of the tail, and or some toes, now would it be a better choice for me to get a less then perfect one and make him the king of the castle?

or is it safe to get the niceer ones? the health would be the same, just the cosmetics will differ, and maybe attutdue? anyways any input would be great thanks!!

I would look at the conditions of the animals first. I have had problems with the less than perfect animals before as they were not only impaired cosmetically but also must have had some internal problems as they would not eat and were lethargic. remember to ask all the right questions like "what have you been feeding them, how often?" "Are they active or not?" etc... ask for pictures of the one you are buying and perhaps a few others for comparison. Do your research. But if the health is the same, I would go ahead and get the less than perfect ones.

get the healthier ones so your male has a pretty female to breed with. and as far as saving an animal that should probably be considered when dealing with that single animal, not when considering a mate for your homeboy.

Ill be getting a male, for my female, but its really not for a "breeding project" more of a thing where i like how males look with the red bellys and the size of them, thanks!

Oh and coura, thanks i would love to have to get a perfect one if i was solely getting the male just for breeding, thanks

I know coura :) ur vey informative with any info i needed now,or in the past, well got a reply from timo ( brets son from agama international )

this is what he said when i asked him about the less then perfect AWD (not all wheel drive )

timo:
They eat just fine. It is only small cosmetic problems, such as the tip of the tail being regenerated, or a few toes missing. Nothing serious at all.
