Having recently posted about my australe orange Killifish recently, thought id share my attempt at a Biotope for these fish!

I use the term Biotope very loosely, it's more an imitation of what I'd expect to find in their habitat, with the hope that I can upgrade it as my knowledge expands!

Play sand, azalea finger wood, almond leaves, sponge filter and 48x8x9 inch tank...let's hope for some babies!

That's an awesom tank, have you considered going vertical by adding a screened cage filled with mossy branches and epipytic above?

I hadn't! Could you elaborate? :) It's something I haven't really tried before.

I added pothos for functionality and a bit of 3D viewing, but always interest in exploring my options

Think of a screened terrarium with no bottom, then put that on top
Of your tank, you could run a simple rain system with the tankwater

That sounds cool, actually, only thing I need to be careful of is the Killifish jumping! They can fit through impossibly tight gaps
