I saw an australian arowana at a lfs. it was about 4" and wanted to know the care of these fish: how big they get, water chemistry, foods all that good stuff. anyways i am interesed in buying it but the people at the lfs didn't give me alot of info. also i heard they were quite a bit more aggresive than silvers. if this is true, can i keep it with 2" frontosas. any info will be appreciated.

aussie aro's are aggressive however the jardini is 1 of the most aggressive aro's in the world, deopending on the size of the aro, ur fronny's will be ok for a lil while..until the aro grows to a manture size roughly...12 inches or there bouts..they love live foods such as fish, insects, crustaceans, pellets, bloodworm/beefheart ad tubifex worms

ph: 7.2--7.6
hardness : 200
temp: 24-28 degrees celcius

Jardini does not go well with frontosa. i have tried this.
The frontosa was 10", and the jardini was about the same. The jardini was beating the front all the time, until the front just stod in a corner.
If you want your fronts to live do not try this.

Frontosa is a bad idea. Its not really worth risking it.

jars should be alone in a big tank, seldom works with tank mates

:iagree: With all the comments!! @ own risk!!

Make sure the tank is secure.

They will end up on your floor otherwise.

With all that said. I'd just have to add that Jardini are beautiful, majestic, regal fish. Too bad they are such bastards!
