Australian bass growth?

Hey guys,
Ive heard a few variations of how fast aussie bass grow, so im quite lost on the topic. Im looking to buy one to put in my 4ft with my 15cm leichardti toga but all if my lfs only have bass at around 2cm.

Am i able to get one and beef him up quickly so he doesnt get abused by the toga, or will the toga continue to out grow the bass and eventually kill him off?

I am pretty sure aussie bass dont grow very fast. from 3-5cm to 30-45cm in 2 years ruffly but with heavy feeding maybe you could get that in a year.

I would buy a 3ft tank keep him in there for a few months 2 water changes per a week, feeding 2 times a day on a decent food and within 4-8 months I reckon you could place him with the toga. maybe even less.
