Australian Lungfish (AUL) and rounded pebble gravel?

I am thinking about making a switch from sand to gravel. The gravel (rounded pebbles) that I am looking for ranges in size from 1/8" to 1/4" round. Will that be safe for the AUL? I notice that he'll suck in sand from time to time but the grains are small enough to be passed or sifted through his gills. I don't want the lungfish to ingest the pebbles and suffer complications. Any thoughts?

i've seen them kept on gravel bottom tanks so you should be okay.

feed them with a long straw and just place them shrimp on the end of the straw and put it in front of him. He will suck it right off the straw and then no worries! Works awesome!

i've kept AUL's on gravel for nearly 7 years and never had any issues (this was 3 individuals over varying periods of time, current individual for about 5 years). good luck!--
