I have set up a 20 long tank about a month ago with a white back ground and tank rocks. The tank is cycled and all of my levels are fine. So I put 11 1 to 1 1/2 in Australoheros oblongum dwarf chanchitos in the tank with 6 small danios. Well they ate all of the danios expect for one and they never colored up in that tank. The tank that I moved them other of they were colored up very well. So I moved up back into the other tank and they colored up right away. So not I moved 7 Australoheros red ciberal in that 20 long and they wont color up now. I am wondering why they are not coloring up. If you guys can help me out that would be great. It just seems like they looked stressed out and they are all hiding. I don't know if i need to add some larger constant swimmers in with them or not. I am wondering if the tank is too bright for these kind of species of fish. please help me out on this.
