Interesting read, but I just don't think there is that much information to come to a solid conclusion.
 
i think after keeping arowanas all these years.. that one thing holds true about them.. they are jumpers.. and they can and do hit their head on the top.. i wish somehow someone would discover how to make an insulated top soft and water proof and mildew resistant to go underneath the glass and hood.. and then we would know ..

interesting read and i agree i think its head trauma that causes DE but who knows
 
I am almost convinced of it... but of course it may be other factors too involved..

Well I think most know my veiw on this, and there are many others that believe that head trauma is a contributing factor to DE. A good example of the other members can be found in this thread, The Dreaded DE.
