I had autism my hold life and still today i have challenges that i have to face like have to keep track of how many days i do water change or spelling thing and math my mother side of the family has autism and so does my fathers. today i am glad i am in the fish keeping hobby cause if i wasn't i don't think i would know of a way of keeping calm. Any one else have family with autism or any one on the forum have autism??? :)
 
I have a few friends who have autism, and my friend's brother is also autistic, but no one in my family has it.
 
My first cousin has Aspergers, I'm pretty sure, although his parents haven't been candid with the rest of the family about what his condition actually is. Dude is a complete genius. Like, you think you know football? He knows stats on the refs.

Love him with all my heart. We go to comiccon together!
 
My friends brother has autism... Definitely not something that is easy to deal with...

Jet li starred in a movie a couple years ago where he had an autistic son. Ocean Heaven, highly recommend it. Saw it last weekend, my wife cried thru the whole movie. There was no kung fu fighting. I was choked up a few times as it hit a little close to home. My son is autistic. Parents of special-needs children are truly silent unknown heroes.

The autism spectrum is very broad, one can be very mild and eventually hold a job and live on their own. Others never talk and cannot function in society.
