i have a 100 gal tank 30 gal sump freshwater tank set up on the 2ed floor .i was thinking of drilling my sump for a auto top off vavle and a over flow port .then looking at the prices and all the work thought why not use Electric float swichs . run a 3/8 line from basement to tank to fill a 1 inch line to drain .i have a Electric vavle can hook up to 1/2 inch water suply run to a relay to an Electric float swich to fill . to drain have a extra pump in sump to 1 inch drain line to a 2ed relay swich if water gets to high or can bypass to do water changes . any pros cons to this idea ? i was thinking a float valve with 3/8 line if it ever let go water all over but with my idea no water presur in line till its switched on
